About Me: My name is Shawn Chacko, and I’m a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering at UIC. As the youngest board member, I proudly serve as the Fundraising Chair for ASME @ UIC. In my role, I work with the team to organize fundraising events and build meaningful connections with local businesses for sponsorships. I’m passionate about helping others succeed, teaching people how to grow, and especially learning from those ahead of me. I love connecting with people and aim to break the stereotype that engineers lack interpersonal skills.
